The Work
Excavation goes to the depth the use calls for, and base material is placed and compacted in lifts rather than in one pass. Patios and walks are set to a drainage slope so water leaves the surface, with edge restraint to keep the field tight. Retaining walls are built on a compacted base with drainage stone and pipe behind the face, so water has somewhere to go instead of pushing on the wall.
